THIS ERROR SOUNDS FAMILIAR. THAT WAS I’VE HAD MOST OF THE TIME. THE PROBLEM IS YOUR SYSTEM IS OUT OF DISK SPACE, SO THAT MANY SYSTEM PROGRAMS WILL FAIL TO START, AS THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO CREATE FILE IN /TMP, /VAR AND FEW OTHER LOCATION. THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO DELETE SOME UNUSEFUL FILE FROM YOUR SYSTEM (EX: /VAR/LOG, /TMP...ETC)
Below some instruction that you can follow to fix it, i hope it will be useful for you :)

Connection by using ‘putty’
Connect to your system by using text mode.
here i use ‘putty’.
Check your disk space by using this command : df -kh
here i have 0 as the value of the disk space disponible :(

So i just delete one file (here : upgrade.log that cause 11M)
/!\ rm + file name (the command to delete file in unix system)
